The mental abuse that Shia's ex-boyfriend subjected her to turned physical after the duo rekindled their romance.

Shia said that her ex-boyfriend habitually reached out to her after physically abusing her. Shia said,
"He would try to come around with gifts."
While Shia took her ex-boyfriend back multiple times, the abuse continued for the 2 and a half years of their 13-year relationship.

Kenashia Douglas is unmarried. Shia shared that her ex-boyfriend made threats before hitting her, but Shia did not believe that the man she loved would hurt her until he did.

She said, "There were times where I was on my best friend's bed sleeping and he was literally in the window taking pictures of me and sending pictures to my phone."
On one occasion, Ashanti said that she took matters into her own hands when Shia told her about what was going on.
Who Did Ashanti Sister Date?
Ashanti's sister, Shia, was dating Slow Bucks, says sportskeeda. They were in a relationship for thirteen years and announced their engagement through Instagram in 2016. It is unknown how the two initially met, but when speaking to Angie Martinez in November 2021, Ashanti's sister broke her silence about tolerating violence in the relationship.
