Governor Joe Lombardo has ordered the closure of all state government offices on Thursday, except those essential for public safety or corrections personnel.
They will remain closed in Cason City, Churchill County, Douglas County, Lyon County, Mineral County and Washoe County.
The closures are due to severe weather and hazardous road conditions reported by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Department of Public Safety.
Lombardo urges Nevadans to drive cautiously and watch for guidance from NDOT and DPS.
Note that while state offices may be closed per Governor Lombardo's order, County Offices in Storey County will open at noon today.
Dayton Justice Court, Fernley Canal Township Justice Court, and Walker River Justice Court will be closed and all court proceedings will be canceled, Thursday, January 11.
Reno Sparks Indian Colony Employees and Services will have a 2-hour delay due to road conditions.
The Third Judicial District Courts will be closed today, Thursday, January 11, 2024, with the exception of the Fernley Juvenile Master Court which will be held entirely remote via the Zoom link below:
