She became an example along the way, posting about her remarkable journey and accomplishments on Instagram. Her battle with weight reduction, although, was not the only one she fought. LaShaee battled with despair.  She missed her late brother Anthony "with all my heart," and it was her biggest trigger for eating, she revealed on the episode.  "I feel like all I'm always doing is just trying to escape all of my depression and sorrow at this point," she told the audience.

"The only thing I have to turn to to do that is food," she admitted, "and I can feel it killing me." LaShaee trained tirelessly to conquer her afflictions, but despite her achievements, she is the next star of "My 600-Lb Life" to pass away.

LaShanee started the show at 669 pounds and lost 229 pounds in a year, owing in part to gastric sleeve surgery. After finishing the show, she kept up a healthy routine and became a social media influencer, sharing their weight reduction story with their fans.

While being on the show, the reality star admitted to dealing with depression and that she had developed a habit of eating food to self-soothe.

Destinee LaShaee, the first trans person to appear on the reality show "My 600-Lb. Life," died.  LaShaee was featured in the seventh season of TLC's reality show. The emerging social media sensation weighed just about 700 pounds before losing more than 500 pounds and flaunting her new body on social media. "Dear God, my future is in your hands, and I trust you," LaShaee posted on Instagram on Jan. 9. LaShaee was also a strong advocate for mental health.

How did Destinee Lashaee Die?

Although Wayne did not specifically declare that Destinee committed suicide, numerous of her acquaintances have claimed that she did so due to mental health issues. LaShaee's brother, Wayne Compton, announced the actor's death, who also went by the name Matthew Ventress. According to a family member's social media post, Destinee Lashaee, the first trans cast member of TLC's reality show My 600-lb Life, died at the age of 30. There was no reference to the cause of death.

Destinee posted a series of disturbing remarks on her late sister Destiny Compton's Facebook page before her death, in which she spoke out about her continued mental health difficulties.

'To everyone who genuinely love and support me, I love you and I'm grateful to have touched millions of lives and hearts around the world,' she wrote on February 5. 'Living my life with so much pain for so long I've come to realize that God makes no mistakes.

'I'm grateful for my journey and all I've been through. I don't regret a single moment. Love you all.'

A post shared a day earlier read: 'If I was surrounded by all my tears I'd be floating in the ocean.'  During her visit on the show, the then 27-year-old, who weighed 668 pounds at the time, admitted to using food to dumb down the sorrow from her childhood.
